Hammam

A hamam or hammam is an old bathing culture and an important point in the oriental bathing and body culture.

The focus is on relaxation through steam, cleansing of body and mind and a subsequent massage with soap foam. Guests pass through rooms with different temperatures (approx. 40 to 60 °C), so the circulation can get used to the humidity and rising temperature. The main aim of the hammam is to carry out full-body cleansing. The ritual takes place in the following areas: sweating and cleaning area and a relaxation area.

During the foam massage, dead skin particles are removed and blood circulation is stimulated. In addition, the metabolism and cardiovascular system gain momentum.

Hammams are also known as "Turkish baths".
